Our Mission
To provide a network for continued training and development of Burn Occupational and Physical Therapists in conjunction with the OT/PT Special Interest Group of the American Burn Association and to further
the rehabilitation and recovery of burn survivors everywhere.

This committee will embody its mission through the following measures:
- To acknowledge the performance of an outstanding Burn Occupational Therapist / Assistant or Physical Therapist / Assistant on a yearly basis for his or her unique and established contributions in burn care and rehabilitation.
- To represent Burn Occupational and Physical Therapists and Assistants from the entire United States and Canada through demonstrated representation as a member of the Knothe Burn Committee.
- To provide continued therapist driven research activities in both traditional and non-traditional research, educational and clinical endeavors.
- To develop and maintain an internet resource web site dedicated to the OT/PT burn therapist that will serve as both a communication instrument and research archive for burn care and treatment intervention.
- To provide ongoing mentoring and guidance to all Occupational and Physical Therapists and Assistants at any skill level and in any capacity of burn care and rehabilitation.
